Acoustics Consultant - Downham Market, Norfolk
Salary - £18K - £25K
JSD currently have an excellent opportunity for a bright and enthusiastic Acoustics Consultant. We are looking for a talented and experienced person to join our team of testing professionals working on an interesting and varied range of projects.
The appointed Consultant’s responsibilities will include:
- On site noise and vibration monitoring
- Data analysis
- Reporting duties
- On site Client contact
- Project management (from inception through to successful completion with close attention to detail)
Candidates shall have a proven track record (3 years minimum) in the provision of acoustic consultancy services notably in environmental, construction and building services sectors. You must also be a Member of the Institute of Acoustics and possess a full driving licence. Ideally you should have a First Degree in Acoustics or a closely related discipline. A thorough understanding of noise legislation, guidance and software is required for Noise Assessments. You will also need to demonstrate the ability to work flexibly and possess clear and concise report writing skills. Some working away from base may be required occasionally.

Junior Office Administrator - Downham Market, Norfolk
Salary - Starting at £10,500+ (dependent on age/experience)

The appointed persons responsibilities will include:
- General Office Duties
- Processing completed test reports
- Assist with internal quality audits
- Managing systems including order management, accounts, statistics
Candidates shall have a good level of education with a minimum of English and Maths GCSE's and be computer literate (Word, Excel, E-mail). You will also need to demonstrate the ability to work flexibly and possess clear and concise writing and keyboard skills.
Trainee Test Engineer - Based Downham Market, Norfolk
Salary - Starting at £11,160 with increase on satisfactory completion of training, plus commission, company vehicle
JSD currently have an excellent opportunity for a bright and enthusiastic person to join our team of professionals.
The appointed persons responsibilities will include:
- Learning & assisting with field testing, use of equipment & software
- Accurate measurement and calculation of buildings
- Liaising with Clients on & off site
- Progression to Test Engineer after completion of training
Candidates shall have a good level of education with a minimum of English and Maths GCSE's and be computer literate (Word, Excel, E-mail). You will also need to demonstrate the ability to work flexibly and possess clear and concise writing and keyboard skills. A full clean driving licence is also required.
